Upcoming Events & Meetings:

Join us for our first official Jersey Shore BFA Chapter Meeting!

When: Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3pm
Where: Oasis TLC Farm, 89 Sleepy Hollow Rd, Red Bank, NJ [ map ]

This will be the first ever meeting/potluck of the Bionutrient Food Association- Jersey Shore Chapter. We will begin at 3:00pm with Opening Remarks and a brief introduction and overview of the Bionutrient Food Association, Real Food Campaign and Bionutrient Meter. We will open it up to a group discussion about potential Chapter visions, goals and future events.

We wish this to be fun, community time, based around soil, food, and human health. We will take a tour of our backyard gardens at the location to show you what we currently have growing and answer any questions about growing nutritionally dense food.

The second hour will be more informal and consist of a family style Pot Luck Dinner, so please feel free to bring a dish or beverage!
We are very much looking forward to hosting and sharing the BFA with our community.

Stay tuned for upcoming events and meetings, and feel free to reach out!

RJ and Rob Poggioli are two brothers who share a mission for growing and preparing the most nutritionally dense food as determinably possible. They are first generational farmers who have been practicing regenerative agriculture since 2012. Spring of 2019 will kickstart their inaugural growing season on their new family farmstead in Howell, NJ (Monmouth County).

They first met Dan Kittredge at a NOFA-NJ winter farming conference in 2015. RJ lived as a mentor under Dan Kittredge's guidance for a season and a half on Dan's farm in Massachusetts. Rob has spent the last three years managing the organic vegetable operation for Oasis, TLC, which is a non-profit school for young adults with autism. They both continually emphasize the need to support all demographics with healthy produce while also integrating natural therapeutic methods to support human health. They plan on implementing farming practices such as those taught in Dan's workshop, "Principles of Biological Systems," so they can then use the Bionutrient Meter to collect field data for The Real Food Campaign. This will be done in a manner of which they can then give back to their community through spreading awareness that healthy biological farming practices can produce higher quality yields for human consumption. They plan to meet once a month for a Bionutrient Food & Farming Meet Up & Pot Luck.
