INTRODUCTION
The Bionutrient Food Association (BFA) local chapter model is designed to promote a local face and focused local involvement in creating the food system we can and should have. The functional purpose of the chapter model is:
Education
- BFA
- membership offerings
- local related events and happenings
Unification
- Align/unify groups under a single message
- Provide an interface for local farmers and the community
Data Collection
Collect data for local database that members have access to.
Action
Promote and maintain meetups, book clubs, movie screenings, conferences, potlucks, and other social gatherings, making it easy for people to plug in.
Thank you for taking the time to read this handbook. And remember that the BFA is primarily a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, and we encourage feedback and improvements to our materials. If you see something in this handbook that should be changed, or can think of things to be added, please pass that along.
This document is a work in progress and we invite you to give us comments and feedback via email at chapters@bionutrient.org.
